Jungle Guide Foundations.
OVERVIEW
This is the first step you will take towards getting certified to lead in the jungle.
Designed as essential preparation before entering the jungle, this course will equip you with the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed to operate safely and responsibly in remote environments.
You'll learn how to assess and manage risk, recognize and respond to common medical emergencies, apply jungle-specific first aid and evacuation principles, and navigate challenging terrain with confidence. The course also covers expedition planning, group leadership, decision-making under pressure, and effective communication during incidents and emergencies.
By the end of the program, you will be ready to take your first steps in the jungle. You'll understand international guiding and safety standards, your responsibilities and limitations as a jungle guide, and how to work ethically and professionally with local communities and the natural environments in which you operate.

This course is designed to be completed online (it is laptop and mobile-friendly), and ideally before you attend the Assistant / Certified Jungle Guide certification field program(s). This online course should take you approximately 1 week full time, or 3 weeks part time (depending on your schedule and commitments).

This course is certified and endorsed by the IAJG, and upon completion you will receive a certificate of completion, and you would then be ready to register for an Assistant Jungle Guide or Certified Jungle Guide field program.
